Prince William and Kate Middleton's Wedding Date Confirmed

 

After much speculation Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding date was announced Tuesday morning. "The Insider" has learned that the royal ceremony will take place on Friday, April 29, 2011 in Westminster Abbey. According to the London Daily Mail, the longtime couple wanted a short engagement and is calling the shots for their walk down the aisle. While there was speculation over who would pay for the nuptials, it was confirmed that the Royal Family and the Middleton family would foot the bill, but the taxpayers money would be going to the enormous amount of police security on the day of the wedding. The pair chose to marry at Westminster Abbey for its 'staggering beauty' and its intimate feel, the paper says. The Abbey is also where Prince Andrew and Fergie wed in 1986 and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip married in 1947. It is also the site of Princess Diana's 1997 funeral. The date of their wedding, April 29, will become a national holiday and according to Daily Mail, the date holds significance in Great Britain because it falls on St. Catherine's Day, which is celebrated by single women praying for a husband.

SuBo Beats Rihanna On The Charts!

 

Susan Boyle is unstoppable!

Looks like SuBo will remain #1 on album charts for the second week in a row, with a projected 300k albums sold.

Rihanna's album will debut at a surprisingly low 180-190k sales, putting her below Jackie Evancho, an alum of both Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent, who is projected to get 270-290k album sales this week.

If she doesn't watch out, Rihanna may actually landed in fourth place, below Taylor Swift, despite the fact that RiRi has 2 hit singles out from her album. Ouch!

Keith Urban and The Rascal Flatts will battle it out for the next couple of positions the chart, and are projected to end up in the 170-180k range.

We're def surprised to see Rihanna with such a weak debut, but we've gotta hand it to Susan Boyle for keeping her numbers so high!

Hadaka Matsuri “Naked” Festival Photos

Japan has a lot of weird celebration events. One of them is Hadaka Matsuri or well known as “The Naked” Festival. The Hadaka Matsuri is about purifying the soul, but most people remember it because of what the men wear: Fundoshi, or traditional Japanese laincloths. The event is particularly famous because there is one completely naked man hidden in and among a crowd of 10000 men. Shinto tradition has it that the naked man absorbs all bad luck and evil deeds from the men who touch him. Below are the photos of the Hadaka Matsuri event in Japan.
