Welsh singer Charlotte Church proposed to her boyfriend during a night out in Cardiff last weekend (29-30Oct11), according to a U.K. report.
The former classical star reportedly popped the question to her partner Jonathan Powell after serenading him with a rendition of The Ronettes' Be My Baby at a pub karaoke night, according to Britain's The People tabloid.
The publication reports Church finished the song and then told Powell, "That was for you because I want you to be my baby. Will you marry me?"
Songwriter Powell is said to have accepted the proposal and they then celebrated with a bottle of champagne.
A source tells the newspaper, "Jonathan was thrilled and Charlotte was very happy. She was singing I'm Getting Married in the Morning as we helped her to the taxi afterwards."
Church was previously married to Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson, the father of her two children.
