STRANGE LOVE - 8 VERY UNUSUAL COUPLES

1. Al and Jeanie Tomaini

Billed as the “Worlds Strangest Married Couple” Al and Jeanie Tomaini were both interesting individuals in their own rights. Al Tomaini, who suffered from gigantism caused by an untreated pituitary tumor was over 7′ 4″ tall. He weighed 356lbs and wore a size 27 shoe. Jeanie Tomaini, who was born without legs, met Al Tomaini while performing on the sideshow circuit in the 1930′s. The two became romantically involved shortly after they met, and were married in 1936.

2. Monkey Woman and Alligator Man

Percilla Bejano (The Monkey-girl) met Emmitt Bejano (The Alligator-skinned Man) when she joined the Johnny J. Jones Exposition Sideshow in the 1930′s. Percilla had a condition called hypertrichosis, which is characterized by excessive hair growth and abnormal dentition (two rows of teeth in her case). Emmitt had a condition known as Ichthyosis, a skin disorder that caused his skin to appear scale like, giving him an “alligator like” appearance. The two married in 1938, and had a child a year later who succumbed to pneumonia soon after birth. The pair worked together for several decades after their marriage, eventually retiring in Tampa in the 1980′s. -Source

3. A 69 Year Age Difference

In May, 2006, Wook Kundur (106 years old) and Mohummud Musa (37 years old) were married. This will be Wook’s 21′st marriage in her 106 years and Musas first. Muhammad Musa says that, initially, he felt sympathy for his bride Wook Kundor because she was old and alone. But, over time, respect and friendship turned to love. According to Musa, he appreciates her deep religious knowledge, and that although a physical relationship is difficult, she gives it her best for her age. Wook says she will allow her husband to also marry a younger woman. -Source

4. Patrick Stuebing and Susan Karolewski

Patrick Stuebing, who was adopted as a baby, met his sister Susan Karolewsky and the rest of his biological family when he was 23. Patrick and Susan, having never known each other growing up, fell in love, and have been living together for the past 7 years. The couple now have four children, three of which have been placed in foster care because incest is illegal in Germany where they reside. Today Patrick and Susan share a small flat in an east German tower block on the outskirts of Leipzig. Patrick Stuebing has already served a two-year sentence for committing incest. In 2004, Patrick voluntarily underwent a vasectomy. -Source

5. Cheng and Eng Bunker and Wives

This should probably count as two different couples… but these poor guys were grouped together their whole lives, so I’m sure they wouldn’t mind. Cheng and Eng Bunker, the original “Siamese Twins” (the term was coined because of them) were joined by their livers, and a small piece of cartilage. They remained conjoined their entire lives, but this did not prevent them from each taking a wife. In 1844, after retiring from show business, Chang and Eng began to date Adelaide and Sarah Ann (or Sally) Yates, respectively. The couples married and one couple purchased a farm adjacent to the brothers original property. They built two houses, and the brothers spent alternating nights with their wives in their own houses. Cheng fathered 12 children, and Eng fathered 10 children. -Source

6. Tony and Ashley Weeks

Ashley and Tony weeks may look like an ordinary couple, but they are far from ordinary. Ashley is a MTF (male to female) transsexual, and Tony is a FTM (female to male) transsexual. Both Ashley and Tony felt extreme dissatisfaction with their birth gender from a young age. Ashley considers herself a heterosexual woman, as she is attracted to a male body and male characteristics. Likewise, Tony considers himself a heterosexual male, having dated genetic women in the past. The two met at a 12-step meeting for transgendered individuals. What started as a friendship soon blossomed into a romantic relationship and eventually marriage. Check out this in-depth interview if you are interested in learning more about this amazing couple.

7. Married to a Robot

Zoltan (not his real name) is a 33-year-old guy from Georgia. Average height, average looks, and not a rich man. He works in an arcade, where he fixes video games for a living. He’s married —for “real”—to a redhead named Alice who happens to be a sex doll. According to Zoltan, Alice (pictured left) is a chatbot, with controls for speech. It also has a built in teledildonic device. Teledildonic devices were invented in the ’90s so that people could have sex through an internet connection. Although probably not legal, Zoltan says he asked Alice to marry him, and even got a marraige certificate from an online licenser. -Source

8. Polygamy with a Eunuch

In Indian Culture, those who do not fit into typical genders are recognized as belonging to a “Third Sex” called hijra. Hijra includes transsexuals, transvestites, intersexed individuals, an very effeminate gay men. Most Hijra belong to “Hijra families”, where they live with other hijra in student-teacher roles. Typically, student hijra (“chelas”) give their income to their teachers (“guru’s”), who manage the household. Although rare, some hijra do not live live with other hijra in groups, but instead marry men. Such was the case for Chiria Alam (pictured), who had her male genitalia removed before marrying her current husband. While there are a considerable number of Men who marry hijra, they usually do so under the condition that they can take other wives in the future, a practice not congruent with men who marry only genetic females.
