Boo! Michigan Passes Bill Which ALLOWS Bullying!!!

What a MAJOR step in the wrong direction! We are disgusted!

We've just learned the awful news that Michigan Senate Republicans have passed a bullying bill (with zero democratic votes), which basically allows bullying, as long as bullies can provide a "religious or moral reason for their actions." Deplorable!

Here's what democractic Senator Glenn Anderson had to say about this horrible bill:

"To the families of the ten reported suicides that were directly linked to bullying and the countless others that have gone unreported, this bill adds insult to injury. I have been working for years to pass legislation to provide a safe school environment for all of our students. This bill goes in the exact opposite direction and in fact provides a license to bully."

Ironically, this bill is called Matt's Safe School Law, and it's named after Michigan teen Matt Epling who committed suicide due to anti-gay bullying.

Here's what Matt's father Kevin Epling had to say about the bill:

"This is just unconscionable. This is government-​sanctioned bigotry."

We wholeheartedly agree, and we're so sorry that Matt's name has to be associated with this sickening bill.

Please do the right thing and get rid of this bill, Michigan! Like RIGHT NOW!
